Christmas Parade Shows off Warrenton’s Small Town Charm

For visitors and residents of Warrenton, the annual Christmas Parade down Main Street on December 3 was a wholesome and fun-filled event. Families and friends lined the sidewalks to watch the procession of lighted floats, fire engines, exotic cars, and trucks as local businesses catered to the crowd with hot cocoa and other holiday treats.

Temperatures were mild for a winter day, and the rain stopped just before the parade began. The main event, of course, was Santa riding by, waving and “ho-ho-ho-ing” as children cheered.  If it were not for the thousands of twinkling lights you might think you were in the middle of a 1950s Norman Rockwell painting. It was Americana — and our adorable town of Warrenton — at its best!
