About

Warrenton Life publisher Karen Pearson Brown visited Warrenton, Virginia, often as a child.  It was the hometown of her father and her grandparents.  Each Sunday she enjoyed family suppers at her Grandma and Granddaddy Brown’s home on Blantyre Road, just a stone’s throw from Bethel Church, where the family attended services on Sunday and gathered for weddings, celebrations, and memorials for generations of family members.

Karen moved from Virginia in 1998, for the big city of Los Angeles, where she worked as a public relations executive in the Hollywood film industry and for several top global PR agencies.  She also became a mother, giving birth to her son Stephen in 2007.

In 2016, Karen moved with her Son back to her Virginia family and her roots in Warrenton, where she now resides in Vint Hill, a former US Army base where her mother once worked in the Army dispensary.
